*CHILDREN WORKSHOP: Let’s make a book!* (Suomeksi ja englaniksi) 🐸We are happy to announce our first bilingual workshop for children at the Helsinki Comic Center, on 25th March ✨👀💗📚! Where: @sarjakuvakeskus Laivanlahden puistotie 7, Helsinki. Herttoniemi When: Saturday 25th March 2023 12-15:00 No reservation, you can pop-in whenever during that time! Free entrance. Age group recommendation: 8-12 years + parent/adult in charge 📚💗🐸🐸 THE WORKSHOP (En) 🐸Sarjakuvakeskus Children’s Saturday workshop: Let’s make a book! In the workshop we will introduce you to making small books called zines. Zines are stories told with few pages, drawn and written with a relaxed and fun style. Many artists also use zines and books as their means of expression. For the workshop, The Temporary Bookshelf has picked a selection of funny, touching, weird and cute zines from their shelf. By browsing through them, you can find inspiration to make your own publication! Let’s tell a story, together or alone, by drawing, cutting-and-gluing or using copy machine. The workshop is held in English and Finnish. (Fi) 🐸Sarjakuvakeskus Lasten Lauantai: Tehdään kirja! Työpajassa tutustumme pienten tarinavihkosten, eli zinejen tekemiseen. Zinet ovat lyhyitä piirroksen ja kirjoituksen keinoin kerrottuja tarinoita, joiden tyyli on rento ja hauska. Myös monet taiteilijat käyttävät zinejä ja kirjoja ilmaisumuotonaan. Työpajaa varten The Temporary Bookshelf on valinnut hyllystään kokoelman erilaisia esimerkkejä hauskoista, koskettavista, oudoista ja söpöistä julkaisuista, joihin tutustuen työpajalaiset voivat inspiroitua ja keksiä oman kansien väliin laitettavan kertomuksensa. Työpajassa tarinan voi kertoa yhdessä tai yksin, esimerkiksi piirtämällä, leikkaa-liimaa tekniikalla, tai käyttämällä valokopiokonetta. Työpaja järjestetään suomeksi ja englanniksi. THE HOST: Comics Center (Sarjakuvakeskus) is an open and independent cultural centre for comics art. Finnish Comics Society is the organisation behind Comics Center. The Society was started in 1971 and it publishes the Sarjainfo magazine, organises events and the annual Helsinki Comics Festival, among other things. @sarjakuvakeskus
